Russian Manicure Masterclass

Take your prep from clean to exceptional.

There’s a difference between prepping the nail and truly refining the cuticle area.

You can push back the cuticle, remove visible non-living tissue, prep the nail plate and still be left wondering why your finished set doesn't have that seamless, ultra-clean look you're trying to achieve.

Often, it's the detail you can't immediately see that's making the difference.

Russian Manicure is a precision preparation technique that allows you to work in a much more detailed and controlled way around the cuticle area, creating the foundation for a beautifully refined finished set.

In this practical, in-person masterclass with Lorna Marie, you'll learn not only how to perform the technique, but why each stage matters – so you can take what you've learnt away and confidently apply it to your own clients.

What you'll learn

Throughout the masterclass, Lorna will take you through the Russian Manicure process step by step, including:

How to safely exfoliate and remove non-living tissue using your e-file
Creating and working with a clean cuticle pocket
E-file control and working precisely around the cuticle area
Choosing the correct bits and understanding their purpose
Preparing the nail for close, seamless product application
Safe removal techniques
Refining and shaping
How to tuck colour neatly beneath the cuticle
Avoiding unnecessary bulk around the base of the nail
Using detailed preparation to support better product retention

It's not about adding unnecessary steps.

It's about understanding what each step is doing.

Rather than simply following a routine, you'll learn how to recognise what you're working with and adapt your technique accordingly.

The aim is to help you create:

Cleaner cuticle work. More controlled product application. A smoother, more refined finish. Improved retention. Consistently high-quality results.

Those small details are what can take a set from looking good to looking beautifully finished.

Who is this masterclass for?

This masterclass has been created for qualified nail technicians who already understand the foundations of nail preparation and product application but want to refine their technique further.

It could be for you if:

Your prep is good, but you know it could be cleaner
You struggle to achieve a really crisp finish around the cuticle
You want more confidence and control when using your e-file
Your product sometimes appears bulky around the base
You want to improve retention through more detailed preparation
You admire the seamless Russian Manicure finish but aren't confident recreating it yourself
You're ready to elevate the overall standard of your work

You don't need to be years into your career to refine your technique.

What matters is having the foundations in place and being ready to understand your prep at a much deeper level.

Learn it. See it. Practise it.

This isn't a masterclass where you'll spend the day simply watching.

You'll see the techniques demonstrated up close before having the opportunity to put them into practice yourself, with Lorna there to guide you, correct your technique and answer questions as you work.

You'll leave understanding what you're doing, why you're doing it and what to look for – rather than going home with another sequence of steps to try to remember.

The goal?

To give you the knowledge and confidence to create beautifully clean Russian Manicure prep safely and consistently, and bring a more precise, high-end finish to the sets you create for your clients.
